The word 'Contents' is broken up into three different parts, I really like how "V" has done this, I think this is a trade mark they have created for themselves as I have seen this on other contents pages of theirs. Another trade mark they have on their contents page is to have an image of a very well known artist on the page. In this case the artist is Sierra, and this image of her is very iconic with her legs going up in a shape of a V, making the brand name constantly visable. Also behind her legs there is the outline of a V, again keeping the brand name very visible to the reader - just incase someone is looking over their shoulder wanting to buy this magazine.
There is a fair amount of information on this page, but it is not over run, and looking messy with loads of ugly text covering the page, this contents page is very clean and tidy making it extremely pleasing to the eye.
The colour scheme is very simple, nuetral colours from differnet shades of white to the silver of her shoes to dark greys and black, the colour scheme give teh contents page a sunset effect - just not in oranges and pinks.
Elle's Contents page is very differnt to V's contents page. Elle's Contents page is extremely busy, covered in colourful, busy photo's of makeup, models, front covers and actors. Although there are many different colours on this page there is still a clear colour scheme of a peachy pink and black shown clearly in the text and suttely in the pictures of the makeup.
There is a lot of information and pictures to absorb from this busy page but i think Elle has presented the information needed really clearly, th etext isnt tiny and you dont have to squint your eyes or spend ages looking for the title you want/need for ages!
